DescriptionFootbridge over Pevensey Haven - geograph.org.uk - 210023.jpg
English: Footbridge over Pevensey Haven. Taking the footpath from Westham to Chilley Farm. Chilley Stream leads off to the right. Pevensey Haven is one of two main waterways running through Pevensey Marshes (Wallers Haven is the other) and has been much altered as the original harbour has silted up. Much of the layout of the marshes was completed by the 12th and 13th centuries as areas were gradually drained for human use which itself contributed towards the silting up of the harbour.
