English: A Lockheed F-104G Starfighter (s/n 26+69) of the Marinefliegergeschwader 2 (MFG 2) (2nd Naval Fighter Wing) of the German Navy at Ramstein Air Base, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, on 24 June 1984. It carries AIM-9B Sidewinder air-to-air missiles under the fuselage, and "Kormoran" anti-ship missiles under the wings. The MFG 2 was based at Eggebek, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and flew the F-104G from 1964 to 1986. It was disbanded in 2005. 26+69 (c/n 7415) was built by MBB at Manching, Bavaria, Germany, and had its first flight on 7 February 1972. It was delivered to MFG 1 on 20 March 1972. It was relocated to MFG 2 on 10 September 1981, and again to the "Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 61 (WTD 61)" (Luftwaffe flight test center) on 21 January 1987. It was retired on 21 May 1987 after having flown 2.258 flight hours. It was sold to the Hellenic Air Force on 15 September 1988 (as "FG-415", 116th Squadron, Araxos AB). It was finally withdrawn from service in March 1993 but was used as an instructional airframe at Tatoi technical school from November 1993 until 1994. Since April 1996 it is preserved at the Hellenic AF Museum at Tatoi AB.
