English: An attempted native forest restoration area in Eyrewell Forest dairy farmland, formerly pine plantation and the only habitat of the Eyrewell ground beetle (Holcaspis brevicula (Q13232649). These areas are marked on Ngāi Tahu Farming plans as part of 150 ha of indigenous forest restoration, but are currently weeds and wilding Pinus radiata.
