Summary

Description
English: Schematic apparatus for electrotyping. An electrical current flows from the battery, through the copper anode connected to the positive terminal of the battery, through the electrolyte, and into the coated mold (the cathode). A copper film (the electrotype) grows onto the electrically conducting coating of the mold.
