Object history
Deutsch: Zell ist seit 1833 Markt. Das Wappen leitet sich von einem Gerichtssiegel aus dem 18. Jahrhundert ab, das durch Abdrucke seit 1757 belegt ist. Es zeigt den heiligen Laurentius, der schon 985 als Kirchenpatron von Zell belegt ist, mit einem Buch anstelle der Palme als Attribut. Siegelführung wird für das späte 16. Jahrhundert angenommen. Die Farben Silber und Blau sind die bayerischen Landesfarben.
