English: Coolnahay Lock and Harbour, Co. Westmeath Construction of the Royal Canal was completed to the 26th lock at Coolnahay in 1809 where it stalled until 1813, after which it was completed westwards to the Shannon using public funds. The lock and harbour were restored in the early 1990s.
