Summary

Description
English: Cnidocytes develop from interstitial cells (i-cells) in the body column of Hydra. They first divide into interconnected cell nests called nematoblasts.

Within these nematoblasts the 4 different capsule types of Hydra mature from post-Golgi vesicles.

The matured capsules migrate to the tentacles.
