English: WIPO Director General Francis Gurry (right) received on January 28, 2019 Thailand's instrument of accession to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled.
The Treaty will enter into force for Thailand on April 28, 2019. Thailand becomes the 49th member of the Marrakesh Treaty.
The instrument of accession was deposited with the Director General by Deputy Minister of Commerce Chutima Bunyapraphasara (second from right) who was accompanied by Ambassador Sunata Kangvalkulkij (left), Permanent Representative of Thailannd to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva and Director General Thosapone Dansuputra of the Department of Intellectual Property.
