DescriptionCastell Bryn Bras Castle - geograph.org.uk - 270551.jpg
English: Castell Bryn Bras Castle This Grade II* listed building was designed by Thomas Hopper, the architect who also designed Penrhyn Castle, for Thomas Williams, a Welsh speaking solicitor. The most famous owner of the castle was Duncan Elliot Alves (1870-1947) whose name became synonymous locally with sumptuous living. When I was young anyone looking for extra comforts or sitting down on the job would be challenged with the words 'Who do you think you are, Mr Alves'. Duncan Alves, however was a generous patron of local brass bands and football teams. http://www.brynbrascastle.co.uk/
