Summary

Description
English: Capel Salem, Llanfwrog The first Calvinist meetings in the district were held in the kitchen of Trelywarch Farm. Later, in 1811, a small chapel was built on this site. This was replaced by a new chapel in 1858, which was enlarged, at the same time as a vestry built, in 1902. The chapel closed in the 1990s and is now in private hands. A certain Miss E. Jones (no relation) ran a dame school on the site of the chapel vestry between 1850 and 1870, which attracted the children of the minor gentry and bigger farmers of the surroundings parishes.
