Summary

Description
English: An unidentified French soldier standing next to a camouflaged Peugeot armoured car parked on the roadside. The car had a crew of four and was armed with either a Hotchkiss 8 mm machine gun or a Puteaux 37 mm gun. The gun position at the back of this car is camouflaged, as are the headlights. By 1918 the Peugeot armoured car was gradually being phased out and less than 20 were in service. Note a badge on the soldier's left sleeve featuring a flaming grenade above two crossed guns.
