Summary

Description
English: This is an amateur photograph taken in the summer of 1998 from one of the famous seven hillocks of Plovdiv. The image shows remnants of the ancient Roman amphitheatre (currently still in use for summer performances and events), the remains of a medieval castle wall, the roofs of Bulgarian Renaissance houses (some likely from the 19th century), and Socialist-era concrete apartment buildings in the periphery of the city.
