English: Bryntirion from the east This mansion owned by a succession of minor gentry, including the Jones and Walker families, was acquired in the early 19thC along with a number of other neighbouring 'big' houses by the Assheton-Smiths of the Faenol. Bryntirion then became the residence of the land agents of the Vaynol estate including Henry Turner, the son of William Turner of Parkiau, Caernarfon, the father having been an early partner of the Assheton-Smiths in the development of the Dinorwig Quarries.
