DescriptionBlackpool North railway station, Lancashire (geograph 5842541).jpg
English: Blackpool North railway station, Lancashire Opened in 1898 by the Preston & Wyre Joint Railway (joint between the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and the London & North Western Railway) as additional Excursion Platforms for the adjacent Talbot Road station. Talbot Road was renamed Blackpool North in 1953.
The part of the station fronting Talbot Road was closed in 1974 and demolished soon after. The former Excursion Platforms seen here then formed the basis for the new Blackpool North station. View south west towards buffers shortly after electrification.
