Description
English: Museum of Ethnology (today Ethnological Museum, southern corner Königgrätzer Straße (today Stresemannstraße) / Prinz-Albrecht-Straße (today Niederkirchnerstraße on the border Berlin-Kreuzberg and Berlin-Mitte. Opened in 1886, the building was destroyed during World War II. In 1961, the ruin was blown up. The property, which is still fallow today, was located directly on the Berlin Wall. The museum was reopened in Berlin-Dahlem. It got its new name in 1999.
Deutsch: Museum für Völkerkunde (heute Ethnologisches Museum, südliche Ecke Königgrätzer Straße (heute Stresemannstraße) / Prinz-Albrecht-Straße (heute Niederkirchnerstraße an der Grenze Berlin-Kreuzberg und Berlin-Mitte. Das 1886 eröffnete Gebäude wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört. 1961 wurde die Ruine gesprengt. Das bis heute brachliegende Grundstück lag direkt an der Berliner Mauer. Das Museum wurde in Berlin-Dahlem wieder eröffnet. 1999 erhielt es seinen neuen Namen.
