Summary

Description St Michael and All Angels Church, Beckwithshaw, North Yorkshire, England. Close-up of left light of stained glass window, 1892. "The first light (left, shown above) of the north-west window portrays the angel with his right foot on the sea and the left on the earth. In his hand is a little book containing the message he was about to deliver. The second light (right, not shown here) depicts the angel with the key of the Bottomless Pit in one hand and a great chain in the other. Laid at his feet is the Dragon whom he has subdued and whom he is about to cast into the Bottomless Pit." - Quotation from Pannal Parish Magazine, 1892.
