DescriptionAberystwyth station, main exterior geograph-3225172-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Aberystwyth station, main exterior.
An imposing structure as rebuilt by the GWR in 1925. The view is NE on Mill Street in the middle of the town. It is the terminus of the ex-Cambrian Railway (later GWR) main line from Whitchurch (closed 14/6/65) and Shrewsbury via Welshpool and Machynlleth and formerly of the GWR line from Carmarthen (closed 2/2/65). The narrow-gauge Vale of Rheidol line to Devil's Bridge, former GWR now privately owne, also terminates here.
