The Chrysler Centura was a midsize car which was produced by Chrysler Australia between 1975 and 1978, only available as a 4 door sedan. It was based on Europe's Chrysler 180 model, the front was lengthened to fit the Australian made Hemi Six engines under the bonnet. They also got a new grille, headlights, bonnet and rear panel and taillights.
19,770 Centuras were built.
This 1st generation KB series was sold in XL and GL trims, the latter having more equipment, available with either the Simca 1981cc 4 cyl or the Valiant 4014cc Hemi 6.
The 1977 facelift was the KC series, identifiable mainly by additional fine vertical bars in the grille and other minor trim changes, it was sold in GL and GLX trim, it had more parts in common with the Australian Valiant and only the 4.0 Hemi 6 was available
