Thechapter elects to its member-ship the students majoring inEconomics who, through theirjunior year, have shown highscholastic achievement espe-cially in the area of Economics.Omicron Delta Epsilon alsosponsors numerous seminarsand lectures related to eco-nomic policies throughout theyear. Phi Alpha Theta is an international honor society inHistory. It includes more than five hundred chaptersin all fifty states. Its membership is comprised of stu-dents and professors elected to the society on thebasis of excellence in the study or writing of History.Its object is the promotion of the study of History bythe encouragement of research, good teaching andthe exchange of learning and thought among histori-ans. Projects this year included hosting of the re-gional New England Phi Alpha Theta conference.
