Die Pflanze ist schön anzusehen, aber alle Teile der Pflanze sind für Menschen hochgiftig. Die meist orangegelben Blüten sind 4 bis 5 Zentimeter lang und können nur durch einen Schmetterling bestäubt werden. Gesehen in Göteborg.
English: Rhododendron calendulaceum, also called flame azalea and flame alpine rose. It is a species of rhododendron native to North America. The plant is beautiful to look at, but all parts of the plant are highly toxic to humans. The mostly orange-yellow flowers are 4 to 5 centimeters long and can only be pollinated by a butterfly. Seen in Göteborg.
