The 82nd Golden Globe Awards is an upcoming awards ceremony for film and American television productions of 2024, as chosen by Golden Globe Foundation. It will broadcast live on January 5, 2025, from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, beginning at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST, on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the United States.[3] It will be produced by Dick Clark Productions, Ricky Kirshner, and Glenn Weiss; the latter will also serve as director.[2] Comedian Nikki Glaser will host the ceremony.[1][4][5]

The nominees were announced on December 9, 2024.[3][6][7] Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced the nominations.[8][9][10] Ted Danson and Viola Davis have been announced as the recipients of the Carol Burnett Award and Cecil B. DeMille Award, respectively.[11]

With ten nominations, Emilia Pérez became the most nominated comedy or musical film in Golden Globes history; just one shy of the overall record of eleven, set by Nashville (1975). The Brutalist received the second-most in film with seven nominations, followed by Conclave with six. For television, The Bear led the nominations with five, followed by Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun with four each.[6][12][13]

Overall, Netflix received a total of 36 nominations between film and television.[14]
