The Central Avenue Bridge is two level deck truss bridge over the Kansas River in Kansas City, Kansas. It was built in 1918, and rebuilt in 1984. It is just south of the Kansas City Southern Bridge, and north of the I-670 Viaduct over the Kansas River.

Closure
editIn February 2021, the bridge closed to all traffic. After structural analysis was conducted, the bridge was evaluated to have extensive deterioration of its bottom truss members.[1]
As of 2024, there are no plans to renovate the bridge, and it is likely to remain indefinitely closed.
