CT Group (Vietnamese: Tập Đoàn CT Group), is a diversified conglomerate in Vietnam. Founded in 1992,[2] CT Group stands with 62 subsidiary companies present in 12 countries.[3][4][5]

CT Group operates in three traditional sustainable development fields (Smart Green City; Development of Green Transportation, Engineering, Economy, Society, and Logistics Infrastructure; Clean Food, Healthcare) and eight high-tech fields (Artificial Intelligence Technology; Drone Technology; Gen & Cellular Technology; Green Cryptocurrency; Semiconductor Technology; ESG Technology; Quantum technology; New Energy Technology).

CT Group received the First-class Labor Order for the corporate collective[1][6][7] and the Second-class Labor Order for Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of the Group.[8][9] Additionally, CT Group was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as the "Claw of the Vietnamese Dragon."[10][11]

History

CT Group,formerly known as Saigon Trading Company, was founded in 1992 with Mr. Tran Kim Chung as the chairman of the board of directors.[12][13] In 1993, Saigon Trading Co., Ltd. was renamed C&T Trading and Services Co., Ltd. Additionally, Him Lam Co., Ltd. was established.[14]

Between 1992 and 2002, CT Group was the largest rice exporter to Eastern Europe and the leading producer and exporter of coir mesh in Vietnam.[15][16] In 1998, CT Group became the first and largest distributor of Korean cosmetics in Vietnam. They also owned nearly 30 prestigious international brands, including cosmetics, fashion, jewelry, perfumes, handbags, and nail polish.[17] Furthermore, CT Group was one of the pioneers in developing comprehensive urban projects in Ho Chi Minh City.[18]

In 2005 Metro Star Investment Joint Stock Company was established to manage the Metro Star project, which was transferred from Cong Chanh Company.[19]

In 2006 it was established as CT Group – a multi-industry conglomerate and a comprehensive urban developer.[14] In 2007, CT Group was recognized by the American magazine "The Wall Street Journal" as "The Claw of the Vietnamese Dragon."[10] In 2008, CT Land Real Estate Company was established.

In 2020,Léman Luxury won the Best Innovative Green Building award,[20] and in 2021, it won the Best Innovative Green Building award again, both by Dot Property.[20]

On June 19, 2022 in Tel Aviv CT Group inaugurated its representative office in Israel to connect and promote cooperation with the Israeli market.[21][22][23] Vietnam Gene & Cell Technology Joint Stock Company, established by CT Group, has officially opened a scientific research center in Israel to research and receive transfers of the world's most advanced medical and healthcare technologies.[24]

Metro Star won the "Best Mixed-Use Architecture Design Vietnam 2022" award by Dot Property.[25][26]

At the 30th anniversary celebration on June 29, 2022, CT Group received the First Class Labor Medal for the corporate entity[1][6] and the Second Class Labor Medal for Tran Kim Chung, the Chairman of the Group.[8] In August 2022, CT Group was honored as the "Best Workplace in Asia 2022" by HR Asia.[27] This was the second time CT Group received this award, and it was also the first time the Group surpassed over 600 other enterprises in Vietnam to achieve the highest score: 4.68/5 points (equivalent to 94%).[27]

In July 2022 Metro Star received the award for the Best Architectural Design of a Mixed-Use Project in Vietnam 2022, given by Dot Property Vietnam Awards 2022, on July 28.[28][29] On October 13, 2022, at the Vietnam Green Building Week 2022, CT Group received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Construction for its contributions to the construction and development of green buildings in Vietnam.[30] CT Group was also awarded the Best Companies to Work for in Asia by HR Asia.[31][32] This is the second time CT Group has received this award and the first time the group has surpassed nearly 600 competitors in Vietnam to achieve a score of 4.68/5 (94%).[33]

In June 2023 CT Group was recognized in two major categories: Top Science & Technology and Innovation Enterprise, and Top Enterprise with Smart Digital Products and Industry 4.0 Technology Solutions at the “Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam – 4.0 Awards” ceremony.[34][35] At the end of September 2023, CT Group announced the establishment of the ASEAN Carbon Credit Trading Platform Joint Stock Company (CCTPA). This is the first carbon credit trading platform launched in Vietnam.[36][37][38]

Currently CT Group is one of the first Vietnamese companies to venture into emerging technology and sustainability fields such as ESG, carbon credits,[39] Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and quantum computing.[2][40][41] CT Group is also one of the first members of the global Ethereum Blockchain community.[42]
