Style
editCMJ said that the album was "more rhythmic rap than metal".[2] Exclaim! wrote that Bionic Jive "writes every song as an epic, with lyrics that dive into places that other groups can't even dream of extracting concepts from".[3]
Artwork
editThe album's cover was painted by David Ho. The band initially asked to use his illustration Future of War, but Ho felt that the drawing was "too fantasy-oriented" for the album, so he developed a new painting by tweaking another work of his, Contemplations 10.[4]

Exclaim! called Armageddon Through Your Speaker "a brilliant record",[3] while CMJ recommended the album to fans of Limp Bizkit, Twiztid and Crazy Town.[2] AllMusic said that Bionic Jive "sounded incredibly commonplace if not ubiquitous", writing, "this album just feels too manufactured. The best rap-metal employs its own motifs, draws from its own structures, and ultimately creates its own context. Unfortunately, few rap-metal bands do this circa 2001, and Bionic Jive definitely isn't one of them; they simply synthesize what seems like a potent formula".[1]
