2022 Oklahoma Sooners football team

The 2022 Oklahoma Sooners football team represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season, the 128th season for the Oklahoma Sooners. They played their home games at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. They are a charter member of the Big 12 Conference. 2022 marked the first time the Sooners finished with a losing record since 1998. Despite this, the Sooners continued the streak of participating in a bowl game every season since 1999. They were led by first-year head coach Brent Venables.[1][2]
